Simple
At Stock30, we like to keep things simple because that’s all a licence agreement like this really needs to be. So, we’ve set out to avoid legal jargon wherever possible and to provide a clear description of our terms and conditions.
If there is anything you do not understand, or feel unsure about, then please contact us by emailing and we’ll do our best to help.
Agreement
- You must be of legal age to become a Stock30 subscriber and enter into this Agreement
- In registering for a free or paid for Stock30 subscription and in making use of our service, you agree to our terms and conditions both during the subscription period and after the subscription period has elapsed
- We maintain the right to change our terms and conditions from time to time
Our Standard User License
- This licence permits you to download Stock30 clips during your subscription period for the production of film, television and video programmes
- Once you incorporate a stock footage clip into your production, you can share your finished edit freely, but may not share the underlying individual stock footage file as a standalone file with anyone else
- You agree to use your best efforts to avoid letting any stock footage clip be accessible to others as a standalone file
- Stock30 owns the copyright of all stock footage clips and such use of these clips is limited as follows:
Limitations
- Unless otherwise designated as 'Model Released' or 'Property Released', all of our stock footage is restricted for editorial use only, which means it is not cleared for commercial use such as advertising a product or service, but is instead created for use in the news media and for other non-commercial applications
- For Model Released stock footage, you must not depict the models featured in such a way that the viewer may associate them with anything derogatory
- You cannot sell, license, rent, lease, transfer, reproduce or redistribute our stock footage files, nor can you build your own stock footage site with our files
- You cannot create a trademark or logo based on our stock footage files, since this would prevent other members from using them
- You cannot use automation, such as computer scripts, to download high volumes of our stock footage files
- You cannot use our stock footage files to harm minors, to encourage violence, or for an unlawful purpose, such as defamation
- Under our Stock30 Pro subscription plan, we monitor what we regard as fair use and as such, limit downloads to 1200. At this point, we will communicate with you simply to check and validate your ongoing requirements
Broadcast Credits
- Your use of our stock footage must be acknowledged in the form of a 'Credit' seen in the closing credits of any film or television production
Warranty
- We will guarantee when you use any stock footage that your use will not infringe on the rights (such as copyrights) of a third party. As such, we will provide a limited warranty providing you with an indemnification up to the value of £20,000 if you incur any direct damages from our breaking of this promise
- In no event, including negligence, will we be liable to you or any third party for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages of any kind. Our maximum aggregate liability for all breaches of the limited warranty will be limited to the lesser of £20,000 and the actual, direct damages they incur directly arising from the breach
- Trademarks, logos, or copyrights depicted within our stock footage files are not covered by this guarantee. For example, if one of our stock footage files depicts someone holding a brand-name beverage, the beverage label may be protected by copyright and trademark law and should be used at your own risk
